late Mr. Bipin Malia, a Civil Engineer from M.S. University, Baroda, was the visionary behind Atmaviswas Vidyalaya. Inspired by his personal journey caring for his daughter, who was diagnosed with schizophrenia, he dedicated his life to creating a safe and nurturing space for individuals with mental illnesses.
Under the mentorship of Father Hank Nunn at Atmashakti Vidyalaya, Mr. Malia gained the knowledge and skills to establish AVV in 2006. He was deeply involved in every aspect of the organization, from daily operations to critical decisions such as setting up OPD services and constructing the long-term care facility.
With the unwavering support of his wife, Mrs. Mrudulaben Malia, and the continued efforts of the current trustees and advisors, Mr. Malia’s legacy lives on, offering hope and healing to countless lives. Together, they ensure his vision for Atmaviswas Vidyalaya remains a beacon of support for those in need.
