Mission and Vision Statement

Atmaviswas Vidyalaya (AVV) is more than a mental health rehabilitation centre—it is a sanctuary where individuals battling mental health challenges find care, respect, and a path toward recovery. Established in 2006 by the late Shri Bipin Malia, AVV was founded on the belief that every individual deserves an opportunity to heal and rebuild their life in an environment that feels like home.

Our work goes beyond medical treatment. AVV provides holistic care that integrates counselling, therapeutic activities, and community engagement, empowering our residents—known as “Resident KIDs”—to regain self-confidence and independence. We pride ourselves on offering affordable and comprehensive care tailored to each individual’s needs.

AVV stands as a testament to hope and resilience, fostering an inclusive community where mental health is understood and supported without judgment. With a dedicated team and a commitment to excellence, we continue to help individuals rediscover their inner strength and embrace brighter, healthier futures.

Vision

“To create a nurturing environment to foster recovery and growth of our Resident KIDs (care recipients) requiring restoration of self-confidence through nature’s nurturing embrace and compassionate care.”

Vision
Mission

Mission

“To empower lives by reawakening hidden potential, guiding our Resident KIDS (care recipients) through  a holistic and robust support system tailored to their unique needs, enabling them to lead productive and dignified lives at an affordable cost.”

At AVV, we believe that every care recipient harbours untapped potential that can get obscured by mental illness. With appropriate treatment and support, the Resident KIDs can rediscover their strengths and reintegrate into society, taking on personal and social responsibilities once again. This belief  is reflected in our Vision and Mission statements.

While some Resident KIDs with long-term mental illness may face lower recovery rates, we strive our best to help each of our care recipients live fulfilling lives.
